En gan\u00f3 en 1923 el Premio Nacional de Ciencias, fund\u00f3 el Instituto de Fisiolog\u00eda y en 1944 cre\u00f3 el Instituto de Biolog\u00eda y Medicina Experimental &#8211; IBYME.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">En 1947 llega su reconocimiento internacional cuando es galardonado con el premio Nobel de Medicina y Fisiolog\u00eda por sus investigaciones sobre la hip\u00f3fisis y el metabolismo de los hidratos de carbono.
